March 3rd

Spring may be just around the corner, but the chill in the air reminds us that March has only just begun!

We want to start by thanking everyone who joined us in celebrating St. Valentine’s Day. We were also thrilled with the wonderful feedback we received during our second "Tenjin Day" on February 26th. Our Five-course Tuna Feast was a huge success, and we are delighted to announce that we will be serving this special menu again for our March Tenjin Day!

A Special Wagyu Debut. February also marked a big milestone for us: serving Wagyu for the first time. It was an exciting challenge, as we tasted different varieties to find the perfect fit for our guests. While there are many famous Wagyu types in Japan—such as Matsuzaka and Kobe—we ultimately chose Wagyu from Kagoshima. As we are originally from Kyushu Island, we felt a special connection to this selection.

We served it hot-pot style as a Sukiyaki special for Valentine’s weekend. This "on-the-table" serving style is something I’ve always wanted to try, and I hope those who missed it will have a chance to experience it next time!

Looking Ahead to March, Our March calendar is now live! Here are a few highlights to keep in mind:

  • Bento Box Mondays: We will be serving Bento Boxes all day every Monday throughout March.

  • Tenjin Day: Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 26th.

  • North Shore Restaurant Month: We are proud to participate once again in North Shore Restaurant Month with a special Prix Fixe Menu. There are so many fantastic restaurants in the North Shore area, and this is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some excellent deals. A big thank you to the Chicago North Shore Convention & Visitors Bureau for organizing this great community event!

We look forward to seeing you at Tenjin this month!
